B.Com( B.Com. With Taxation as optional subject)

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is an undergraduate course aimed at imparting thorough practical and conceptual knowledge in a variety of subjects like Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Management, Capital market, and so on. This is the most demanded course in the universities of Kerala as elsewhere in India. The topic of Commerce being in the nature of a professional course, the Department earnestly endeavors to enhance, in particular, the professional competencies of students with a view to equipping them in building up their career through direct placements or through advanced professional courses like CA, CS, CMA, CFA, etc. Taking in letter and spirit, the contemporary relevance of commerce in terms of the ever increasing number of enrollments and the job opportunities it offers, the department is taking creative initiatives to motivate and inspire students to produce the best by organizing different seminars, workshops, personality development programs in addition to regular academics. The Department is also providing extension activities to cater to the requirements of the community at large.
